The Tudors Dynasty - Beyond Season 5
The Tudors are coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean we can’t continue to voice our love for the show and desire to see it go beyond the Henry years.
The Season 5 premiere continued to show us that Sara Bolger would be a worthy Princess Mary to follow. And, quite frankly, I believe she could carry the show. Of course, it would be a different kind of show without Jonathan Rhys Meyers. We would hardly be privy to the same sexual escapades we witnessed in the past four seasons, right? Wrong. After Henry’s eventual death, Edward Seymour’s nephew, Prince Edward Tudor, became King Edward VI of England, with Edward ruling as Lord Protector. This would be an interesting story in and of itself with the sexual indiscretions of Edward’s wife Anne.
At the end of the day, there are still stories to be told. And, I hope that someone take’s up the mantle to tell them.

Gabourey Sidibe Joins 'The Big C'
Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe will make her way from the mean streets of ‘80s Harlem in Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire to the cushy, modern-day Connecticut suburbs in the new SHOWTIME dark comedy series, THE BIG C. Sidibe, who guest starred in the pilot episode, just signed on as a recurring guest star in the half-hour series, which is headlined by multiple award-winner Laura Linney as Cathy, a repressed suburban wife and mother who reclaims her life after a terminal cancer diagnosis. Oliver Platt (2012) stars as her immature, but well-meaning husband. Sidibe will play a smart-alecky student in Cathy’s class.
