After 1 million viewers tuned in to the Nurse Jackie Premiere Monday night, following the Weeds Season 5 premiere, Showtime placed an order for Nurse Jackie Season 2. Nurse Jackie edged out 2008’s series premiere record holder “Secret Diary of a Call Girl,” which bedded 950,000 viewers.

Nurse Jackie Season 2 is scheduled for 13 episodes.

The official premiere of Nurse Jackie has come and gone, and has consequently won the affection of this humble writer. As much as Jackie wants to good for others, she can’t help but lead an undercover life that is anything but moral. She’s cheating on the father of her kids with another a doctor at All Saints and blaming her bad back for her pill addiction.
